Billi Rasta Kaat Gayi : Cat Crossed My Way

Well, most of the time a cat crosses my way, I go into a kind of conscious mode as we all heard form our parents that it is not a good sign. You stop, wait for sometime or may eat something then start back. This is the general conception in my mind. And i believe it is same with most of the Indians.

So, Morocco is not a place for Indians as there are so many cats here that, when i start walking for office which 700 meters about 3-4 cats cross my way easily. I remember 1st day in Casablanca, Morocco when i was started for office and I saw bloody Cat crossing my way, this superstition came to mind but I ignored and walked. Later that day, I saw so many cats and now it is like Dogs in India.

Actually, I tested this Cat issue long before in 2004-05, when I was searching for a job. I got interview call, started early in the morning from Pune to catch Singarh Exp to reach Mumbai, Andheri, near Parihar Chowk a Cat crossed my way but I was running late to catch the train so I continued. I was not selected there unfortunately, later I again happened to be in the same situation and I stopped this time but result was same....so it's nothing but our own mind, we can believe in whatever we want to. The same is with religion, Hindu Muslim Sikh etc...

Casablanca: Mohammad V Place

Close to the central Casa, did not get chance to explore the history but this is the court : the legal thing...

Casablanca: Hasan II Mosque

So this is HasanII Mosque, the most famous & attractive place in Casa. Built in 7 years with some $8K Mn with thousands or workers and the most imp, every material used to build this is from Morocco, say the marble is from Agadir , Woods are from Atlas and so on.I happen to visit this 3-4 times, as I visited Foire which is opposite of this huge building.  I love seeing this again and again, recently i visited this on my bike from Sidi Maarouf.
Part of this Mosque is built on Sea, check google maps. Before this was built there was a 400 mtr swimming pool here, that was broken when they planned for this.

Casablanca: HABUS

The place is quite silent and there are lot of shops for local handicrafts. Most of the foriegners can be seen shoping here. Tip is to always bargane a lot when buying something from this area. It you walk into the Habus, you can notice lot of doors - big & small. big door means the person living inside is rich and small door means small or say poor person. Though these houses look small when we look from outside but are quite big from inside. A 1 hour wak into this area is going to be very different exprience.
TIP:
1- Always bargane before buging from here
2- There is a small area where 1PM everyday everyone can come and put the things for selling. People bid for it and deal. This is very noisy area and langguage used is Moroccan Arabic.
3-Dont eat anything in this area, I will tell you a better place very close from here.
4-There are free city tours in 1st week of April, do check the websites.
5-There are two conventional Hamams - 1 more men & 1 for Women into this area: Do check
