Casablanca: Mohammad V Place

Close to the central Casa, did not get chance to explore the history but this is the court : the legal thing...

Casablanca: Hasan II Mosque

So this is HasanII Mosque, the most famous & attractive place in Casa. Built in 7 years with some $8K Mn with thousands or workers and the most imp, every material used to build this is from Morocco, say the marble is from Agadir , Woods are from Atlas and so on.I happen to visit this 3-4 times, as I visited Foire which is opposite of this huge building.  I love seeing this again and again, recently i visited this on my bike from Sidi Maarouf.
Part of this Mosque is built on Sea, check google maps. Before this was built there was a 400 mtr swimming pool here, that was broken when they planned for this.

Casablanca: HABUS

The place is quite silent and there are lot of shops for local handicrafts. Most of the foriegners can be seen shoping here. Tip is to always bargane a lot when buying something from this area. It you walk into the Habus, you can notice lot of doors - big & small. big door means the person living inside is rich and small door means small or say poor person. Though these houses look small when we look from outside but are quite big from inside. A 1 hour wak into this area is going to be very different exprience.
TIP:
1- Always bargane before buging from here
2- There is a small area where 1PM everyday everyone can come and put the things for selling. People bid for it and deal. This is very noisy area and langguage used is Moroccan Arabic.
3-Dont eat anything in this area, I will tell you a better place very close from here.
4-There are free city tours in 1st week of April, do check the websites.
5-There are two conventional Hamams - 1 more men & 1 for Women into this area: Do check

Casablanca: 1st Week

Casablanca First Look

For whole Jan-Feb I was listening about Casablanca, Morocco. It is trip planned planned my bosses for me to get some good out of it. I did some study on Morocco & found out do and don't from various blogs, like bargaining for Taxi, keeping stuff tightly, never talk on Mobile phone and walk etc..

So on 3rd March after total Travel time of around 22 Hrs, I arrived Casablanca. It was 3.5 Hrs to Abu Dhabi then 8.5 Hrs of wait, and then 9 Hr journey to the Great Casa.

As soon as I arrived, I had to get the information about Taxi and started bargaining 350-300-250-200 MAD for Casa Appart Hotel in Sidi Maarouf. I was successful in negotiated for 200 MAD, but driver forced 250 MAD after arriving. It was 10 PM GMT+0.

Well I have only few hours left to report to office, so unpack & prepared to roll.
Well, the day started & met with people, found all of them extremely nice & friendly.
